In the beginning of the fall Elia completed score for the feature “Limbo”, his 5th collaboration with director Mark Young. The score blends two different music characters, one is beautiful and melancholic as a strong contrast to Hollywood underworld, the other one is dark with a dissonant orchestral motif.In October Elia started to write sketches for a Polish produced feature film called “Safe Inside” directed by Renata Gabryjelska. This contemporary score was performed by the prestigious Polish chamber orchestra AUKSO and was recorded in Alvernia Studios, Poland under Elia’s supervision in December.
In the beginning of 2019 the movie “Limbo” was selected at a film festival in Manchester, UK, and a prestigious festival Beverly Hills Film Festival in Los Angeles. The screening is set for April 3 in Chinese Theater, Los Angeles.
Currently is Elia editing and preparing the score from “Safe Inside” for the soundtrack release, look for the soundtrack release date.
Spring News
After returning from Bucharest in the end of April last year, Elia wrote and produced the score for “Running for Grace” (earlier titled “Jo, the Medicine Runner”). The movie is distributed by Blue Fox Entertainment, it is expected to be in the theaters in August 2018.
Right after scoring this project, Elia started to write a Concert Suite for Pan Flute and Orchestra dedicated to Master Gheorghe Zamfir. After completing four movements in November Elia went to meet Master Zamfir in Bucharest to show him demos and scores. Upon his return, Elia started to write the last, 5th movement and completed an orchestra mock up for all five movements of the suite in the spring of 2018.
During the fall last year and spring this year Elia won four first prizes and a four nominations for his score for the Austrian produced short film Lacrimosa featuring Gheorghe Zamfir. -Check the score preview HERE–
In May, the film “Feral” directed by Mark Young and Scored by Elia was released. The European Record Label Movie Score Media will release an score album soon. Currently Elia is about to start his fifth collaboration with Mark Young on the movie “Limbo”.
Besides film scoring Elia is talking to a Czech violin virtuoso about their collaboration on a new composition for violin and orchestra.

To celebrate the release of Elia’s The Chamber Suites on Mikael Carlsson label MovieScore Media in October. Elia organized a reception and a concert with the kind help of Mark Robertson and Brett Banducci.
The concert took place in the residence of Creative Kids Foundation in Los Angels October 23rd 2016. The event was supported by The Consulate General of the Czech Republic and the Czechoslovak Society of Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles.
The CD with the Chamber Suites is been distributed worldwide by Screen Archives Entertainment, except in the UK (RKS Entertainment) and Spain (Resistencia).
