Shaman
A full-length ballet produced by choreographer Mats Isaksson (formal premier dancer at The Cramer Dance Company) and Elia with a grand from Stockholm City Culture Board, Sweden. The ballet libretto was written by Mr. Isaksson and Elia and was based on a myth of a Shaman who is dying after a fierce fight with a young Shaman who is taking the old Shaman’s place and power to continue to practice the Shamanistic craft.
The electronic music was produced and performed by Elia in electronic studio EMS, Stockholm, Sweden in a period about nine months together with a few musicians utilizing guitars, percussion, voices and sound design. The ballet had its premier in The Dance Theater in Stockholm, and later was on tour in major Swedish cities.
